...as the person on this site whose posts cover the most varied wine types and styles.

Not even a close 2nd. I'm positive if he was in Paris he'd find some spot that served New Mexico juice. WW

Thanks Foodie When I came onto this board as a newbie, I really wanted to learn more and more and to use, beg, borrow youse guys knowledge to my own learning benefit. I really owe youse guys a lot!

Your post made me go to my cellartracker file to see what I do actually have in my cellar though and see if it does Foodie's statement justice. Hopefully it does and I'm still enjoying my education. (Glass raised,...with a glass of Rioja,...) Thank you guys

- Innkeeper - 06-03-2010

Nothing from America's Heartland! What are you, a bigot? Get after him VH.

- Thomas - 06-03-2010

Great list.

Now get some wine from Lombardia and Sardegna...

Oh, and don't forget Great Britain--better than pineapple wine.

- TheEngineer - 06-03-2010

I'll get to da heartland...you mean southern California right???

I've had some wines from Michigan but don't have them any more. I knew I was missing some areas when I put the list together so went back downstairs and found a few strays

The additional are

Italy: Lombardy, Apulia
Chile : Maipo Valley
Argentina: Uco Valley
New Zealand: (3) Marlborough, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa

But I've had wines from these countries that are not on the list: China, Turkey
England (a very nice sparkler that I can't recall the name but I recalled that it was very nice), Slovania, Georgia (the country of) and I'm sure a few others as well but regardless have enjoyed the trip.

I love visiting wine regions as well but am planning the big one next year, hopefully hitting a few in France and Italy. I'll definitely be asking for suggestions when I start to plan

What do you pay for a valet?

- Kcwhippet - 06-03-2010

I assume Greece includes something from Santorini.

Oh, BTW, Mike gets my vote. Talk about total immersion.
