The 1998 Rosemount Estate, Estate Bottled, Chardonnay is no better nor worse that many other mainstream Australian Chardonnays, which is usually pretty good. The 1998, however, is their 25th (Silver) Anniversary. The bottles, therefore, carry a commemorative "silver" napkin ring around the neck. They are actually very nice, with a grape cluster design. So, if you are in the market for a run of the mill Australian Chardonnay with a good dose of oak, pick up the Rosemount for the ring. Mother had me get four!
