Always trying to find cheaper wines in this area and increasingly impossible.... This was a $20 bottle that almost fit the role, just a bit too untogether.

Deep dark purple wine, very forward, very ripe, almost raisiny, load of wood and high alcohol, some rough tannins, but the sensation was one of a wine that was not well put together.

Everything I hate in a wine -- overripe, high alcohol, woody and overly tannic...

I know how to pick 'em!!
Hate this string of bad choices....Maybe I should open up some bottles that I know I will like.
