Popped this Easter Sunday with Eileen and her brother, Ken, who has never been to our house. Roast leg of lamb prepared with a garlic, rosemary and chipotle rub, garlic mashed potatoes and an asparagus and green bean medley. Food was perfect, wine was a C+. Fruit forward and a bit over ripe, this opaque offering showed blackberry and ripe dark fruit with tones of cracked pepper, herb, vanilla and coconut. Sorta like a California version of a Oz fruit bomb. Better alone as a sipper it was ok under the circumstances. 14.9%Alc/vol. $20.
