Nose rather withdrawn at first. Then after 45 mins of breahing came with a bevy of berries...mostley black like plum, black, rasp and a touch of bakers cocoa and earth. All of these came over on the palate along with some barnsey notes. Solid entry, weighty middle, and a 3&3/4 lapper finish. Lots going on and with the structure to improve for another 5-7. Lovely stuff. 88/91. 16 on the wine club. 12.5% alc. WW

WW's note prompted extraction of this dude tonight for burgers grilled over oak with oven-friend spuds and baked beans. Boyoboy, you're right about a lot going on with this juice! Let it sit for an hour before dinner and it opened up very nicely. Agree with the notes on dark fruits. Sitting here savoring the last glass now and it's still evolving, becoming CdP-like under me very own schnoz. Thinking about a box to allow sampling over time....

Ordered a box meself. Hopefully you got the Grenache. These bottlings are proof that Kens' legacy are in very capable hands. WW

My grand-daughter, her hubby and me g-grand son came over for lunch today. opened another bottle of this ,the 04 Temranillo, the 04 Grenache, and the 03 McDowell Valley Duriff. The only fault I can find with any of these bottlings is they will never see their full potential as they all drink so bloomin great young. All fall into the 88 to 91 quality range. WW
