Contra Cotsta County. Dark purple, not opaque. Lighter in body than previous vintages but shows complexity with raspberry and dark fruit, chocolate and hints of oak and herb. Nicely balanced and a good QPR food wine for the summer, it should attract even novice wine drinkers. 14.5% Alc/vol. $11.

Sounds great but you got a good price. Runs $16 around here.

That is a good price! I had a jerk try to sell that wine to me a couple of years ago (the '01?) at $30.... I burst out laughing and walked away.

$10 wholesale here in MD; so roughly $15 retail......
