Just a beautiful wine, medium red in the glass. The first year for Viader to make a Syrah. Very Rhone is style. Soft and round. Totally mouth coating with a finish that lasted for a minute. 94+ at $60 with the Ws score being 92. Wish I had more! The 02 Cougar Crest was bought because of the WS rating of 94 and at $30 was a value. Very big and spicy in the Aussie style. Full and rich. Needs time. At this point I would go 92 with much room for improvement over the next 2-4. Grab some and put it back.
