- Drew - 02-08-2004 Another beautiful effort. Very dark ruby/purple/black in the glass. Very assertive nose of pure blackberry liquor. A California fruit bomb of blackberry, blueberry, vanilla and white chocolate. Pure drinking delight. Very concentrated and worth every penny of $10. The only negative was that it showed a very slight spritz on the tongue. Not off putting though, as it was so slight...Eileen picked it up also. 13.5%Alc/vol. Drew - winoweenie - 02-14-2004 After trying the cab ordered a duece of the 4 reds they bottle. The Merlot, Syrah, and Pinot are supposed to hit this next week.WW - Drew - 02-14-2004 Let me know if you get a little spritz from the syrah. Drew - winoweenie - 02-14-2004 Vill do!ww - Drew - 03-06-2004 Popped a second bottle last night after a 13 hour work day. Drove to Wheaton, Maryland (DC area)to fire an employee for theft, not pleasant and 32 days away from his vestment, retirement date. Battled I-495, DC beltway, and I-95 back north during evening rush hour. That DC area is a zoo during rush hours...couldn't do that every day. Anywhoos, the McManis was delish with no spritz. Drew - Innkeeper - 03-06-2004 Although we can buy all sorts of neat stuff locally, have not seen any of the McManis wines anywhere. I guess the distribution still isn't universal. |
