Heritage Clones, Appellation Series.

Inky black/purple. Viscous with stained legs in the glass. Blackberry, chocolate, black licorice and coffee flavors. Smooth with a small gaggle of fine tannins on the long finish. Displays a sweetness that drew oooohs and ahhhhs from our guests but I'm not sold. It's kinda like an Oz, ooze monster drop out, almost but not quite over the top. I can see this paired with a dessert but not with a meal. 14.4%Alc/vol.
$20.

I agree, not so much a food wine... But this juice is tasty. The '04 is great as well (they changed labels for the'05). Not one person I've sold this to has been disappointed. Nor should they be. This wine is NOT lacking in color, nose, or palate. Decadent is how I'd describe this wine. You take one taste and can't stop until the bottle is gone.

Perfect cocktail juice!
