Deep garnet in the glass. After an hour of airing, wonderful dark fruit of blackberry and blueberry on the nose. Then a deep and concentrated palate of plums, black fruit, spice and bacon fat. All of it is very well integrated with a little heat on the end.

Novy continues to make some of the best new world Syrah. One of the few single vineyard bottlings I have tried, but it is a winner. I think it is ready to drink now or over the next year or so.
