Vacqueyras. 55% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 5% Cinsault

Another outstanding 2007 Southern Rhone. Silky blackberry and raspberry flavors with hints of mineral and spice. Moderately complex with a lingering finish. Drank over two days and better on day 2 where some tarry/asphalt notes emerged. 14.5% Alc/vol.
$18 case buy.

Bought a second case yesterday as I think in 3 to 8 this will be a stunner.

Glad you found this wine, Drew. It is usually a stunning example of Vacqueyras. I discovered it in the mid 90s and have never been disappointed by the producer.
