One of my contributions to a small group gathering last night, paired with brisket (someone else's), baked beans, potato salad and peach cobbler. Distracted by conversation so couldn't concentrate on notes, but was impressed by color, nose and entry, very smooth on the palate, longer finish than expected. A very nice wine. 14% alc/vol and about $17. Had picked up half a dozen and will now round out a case (at least).

Decided to grill burgers in the light freezing rain this evening, only 31F so no big deal. This was an excellent wine for that purpose, and got to enjoy it more than last night with just the lovely for company. Same abbreviated notes apply but picked up a definite tad of bacon fat with this bottle. Very very nice.
