Deep ruby, almost opaque in the glass; nose of bruised red fruit and some iodine; but only bright fruit on the palate, in spades! A gorgeous wine! Lingering finish. She rolled her eyes and muttered "Wow!" 12.5% alc/vol and $25 at Costco. Will be forced to spring for a few, if not a box.

Hey, a good '03 CdP that wasn't cooked in that blazing sun! I'll be on the lookout -- thanks!

Mr. Perrin and his Fils must have had beach umbrellas over the vinyards because I've had this CdP and their 03 CdR's and they are of the very few that didn't taste boiled.

Actually I thought my bottle tasted burnt. I might give it another try after your review.

Had a second bottle last night; no change in notes. Delightful juice.

Hotwine, picked up several of these the other day and feel no need to start sampling. How long do you think I should sit on them?

Suggest you try one soon, to be sure they're not cooked. After that, they'll probably hold for as long as you have the patience to stay off of 'em (assuming good storage). I'm going to stretch mine out over the next year, merely because I don't think they could possibly improve with longer aging.
