Interested to see if the QPR extended to an offering that is three times the regular price.

This wine needs to be decanted! Dark opaque purple, on first open, it was all oak and some dense black fruit behind it and some coffee. Very dense, and very unbalanced. It was super hot at the end and rather tannic. This wine beats you up a bit. Overnight, this thing calmed down a bit but there is still a bit hotness at the end. The tannins and the wood have faded a bit and the dense black and red fruit come back out with the coffee. Full body, good acidity, should come back to this in a few years....but not now... Was it worth the $45, ...I'd say it has a chance to be.

Does Joel Gott make a zin as well? $45 seemed high as I thought I saw this in a store this evening. But maybe it was a zin. I also thought the wine I saw was about $15 or so. Anyway, nice to hear, thanks.

Yes he makes a zin and it is around $15 per bottle. He made a few $45 per bottle wines and they sold them direct through the winery
