A wine from the Cote du Luberon.

Medium body with good ruby colour with some aging on the rim. Nose has mellowed oak and berries. Taste and tactile reaction: Wine is supple and ripe with quite a bit of tannins and acid and blackberry (the fruit, not the electronic device). Reasonably balanced and drinks a bit like a bordeau with some rough edges. Long finish.

I purchased initially because I needed something good and cheap (story of my life). They are selling this for $8.99 which I think makes this a pretty good value. Certainly not Supermarket bland. Wine has a bit of character...think I go back for a case.

Wow...what a difference a few months make. This wine (that I've had about three in between,..all in 2005, is just starting to open back up. Nice!

Good levels of black and some red fruit, a little spice and toasted oak. Decent concentration and a bit of gycerol on the nose. Good balance and finesse. I only bought 1/2 dozen and that was my last....may they will still have a few laying around....
