Saw Drew had commented on the 2000 down the thread, and that he had tried the 2001, but I thought I'd give my full TN anyway.

From Contra Costa County.

Decanted 30 minutes before pouring, and it kept improving over the 2 hours we were drinking. Almost opaque in the glass, with a dark plum nose that hints at being floral. Flavors of plum fruit and cracked black peppercorns, a lot of earth, very solid mouthfeel, and dry tannins on the long finish. My wife and I really enjoyed it as a stand alone, but feel that it would be best with grilled burgers, BBQ, or even a bowl of chili. Weighs in at a hefty 15.3% alc., but it was integrated nicely so it wasn't present. Paid $13, and it makes my mouth water to think that I'm having the Small Berry bottling from Cline next weekend.

Will be interested in your Small Berry notes. Have a few of the '97 still resting comfortably.
