I have one bottle of the Swanson Napa Valley Syrah and I was wondering if anyone has any tasting notes? Additionally, I was wondering if this is ready to drink, now? Thank you.

Hi Steve, If I haven`t before, Welcome to the board. Swanson 93 is ready , and my last notes ( 6-99 ) showed a complex nose with lots of spicy, leathery notes surrounded by lots of black, briary fruits. Swanson is one of my favorite small producers of All Reds. Winoweenie

I'm a little late in posting my reply. But the wine was flat out terrible! It was so bad that I had to think I got a bad bottle, though the cork was in perfect shape. Harshly acidic with a tannic finish. Zilch fruit. I was disappointed since I have cellared this wine since it was released.
