Mendecino. Sampled at a tasting at Midway Liquors today. No formal notes but a rich syrah showing blackberry and dark berry flavors with mocha, tobacco and dark chocolate nuances. Very nice. $16

Had 2 1/2 dozen of big steamed crabs last night, Verne that's one of those fishie thingies, so no wine pairing with those but popped another of this syrah after dinner. Still going strong with sweet blackberry and hints of roasted coffee, meat and dark chocolate. Silky in the mouth and still a gaggle of fine tannins left on the long finish. Think I have a few more hiding somewhere.

The wine sounds nice but them crablets sound de-flickin'-lishie. Fergit me comment in the above thread. WW
