- newsguy - 04-12-2005 ($55). Fairly dark red in color with a very interesting nose that is dominated by dark fruits. They are joined on the palate by black pepper for a surprisingly silky package. NOTE: This was sampled after it was poured it into a decanter through a wine funnel. This thing really worked, giving the effect of years of bottle aging in a few minutes. I was impressed, now I'm a believer. - dananne - 04-12-2005 Any aging advice? I have both the '00 and the '01, though I've heard the '01 should be ready sooner than the '00. - winoweenie - 04-12-2005 IMHO the 01 should come into stroke in about 2-4 and the 00 in 4-6. dananne: i didn't offer any aging advice since this was poured through the wine funnel, but what came out of the funnel and the decanter was *very* ready to drink.
