Brought this to dinner at a guest ranch. Chose not to bring stems, which was a mistake. Their wine glasses were completely unsuited to conveying any sort of aromas so I did not get a good impression on the nose. In the palate the wine was rather silky in texture with dominant earth and mineral notes. Not a big wine, but had a certain elegance and went well with Chateaubriand w wine and mustard reduction sauce. It also stood up to an exceptionally cheesy dish of gratineed potatos.
