Inky dark color. Nose of earth and spicy berries. Medium-bodied with good acidity and a slightly jammy texture, which I assume is syrah coming through. Hints of plum and cherry on the palate. Smooth finish with some tannins. I drank it pretty quickly after opening and it probably could have used a little more time to breathe. Wasn't the ideal match for burgers but it did the trick. $13, 13.5% alc.
