Are any auslese, beerenauslese, eiswein, or trockenbeerenauslese wines produced here in the US? If so, where and how can they be obtained?

The German classifications are relevant to the residual sugar left in the wines. There are many great dessert wines produced in the U.s but most winemakers lable them with the amount of residual sugar left at vinification. A little research will tell you what you need to know about these and the great wines of Sauternes, Barsac, etc. winoweenie

There are several Ice Wines from Canada that are very, very good. Lang (B.C.) riesling ice wine is one of my favorites. There are some good "auslese" type wines that are made in Washington, look for "late harvest" on the label. Nothing I've had from the US really comes close to the fine wines of the Mosel and the Rhein though! (Like Auslese Erdener Pralat from Monchhof, which has extremely intense flavors and this incredible "prickly" mouthfeel.)

Had some Jed Steele late harvest Chardonnay at a wine dinner recently and found it quite remarkable. In color and taste it reminded me of Riesling auslese wines.

That Steele is nummy stuff!
