From Rheinland Pfalz region of Germany. $19.99
10% alcohol Weingut Bassermann-Jordan
Color: medium gold Nose: floral notes and a
slight astringency reminding me of solution for giving a home permanent (yet not terribly oppressive)
Taste: honey and lemon drops
First night impression: pleasant, not remarkable. Would go with kalbschnitzel or pork schnitzel or some chicken dishes (perhaps rotisserie chicken). Slightly sweet finish. Tasted better on the second night. The astringency noted when first opened and poured was hidden by the second evening.
