My cousin bought my grandfather a wine while she was in Germany. He really loved it but the only problem is we can't find the exact wine she bought him. On the bottle it reads...Riesling in large gold letters. In small black print it says 1997er Pfalz...under that it reads...Dirmsteinter Schwarzerde...Under that it reads...Qualitatswein...and so on....if anyone has any information on this specific wine i would appreciate it..thank you very much.

Welcome to the board, KS. Wine-searcher.com indicates Winebroker in Florida has that wine in the '99 vintage for $16.99.

Be careful with the spelling. The winery's name is Dirmsteiner, versus Dirmsteinter. Internet search engines are pretty unforgiving that way.

Dirmstein is the name of the village in the Rheinland Pfalz region and Schwarzede could be a vineyard or lage (territory) name. It's one that's not familiar to me, but there are many small villages in Germany along the Rhine and Mosel rivers and their tributaries that produce wines.
