1999 Bonny Doon Vineyard, Monterey County, Pinot Gris ($11.00). Perfectly clear straw yellow color. Crisply tart fruit on nose and tongue tip. A little more heft than your every day Pinot Grigio. Yet, still firm & sinewy like those from Alsace. All comes together with nice complexity and balanced acidity across the palate. Soft, but not bland, and a lovely finish. Mated nicely with take out turkey breast sandwiches, and potato salad.

Had a bottle of this last weekend on Shelter Island whilst munchin' on some Dungeness Crab.Agree it's a super food wine. Also had a bottle of Highbank Aussie 98 bordeaux blend that was a killer. No tasting notes as I was too busy watching the sail boats and talking to my buddy. I know I liked the sucker as I brought hame a box of it. WW

By my count, that's the third white wine that ww admits to liking. The mighty are falling!!!
