My husband brought a bottle Of 1970 Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, Auslese-Reisling Eiswein home from Germany several years ago. He won't let me drink it and keeps insisting that it is a valuable bottle of wine. This is actually the last of 6 bottles he brought home when stationed in Germany. I can't seem to find much information on this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Jacksmom and welcome to the board. Hope Jack has had good storage for that bottle, for to even get back his investment the bottles provenance must be authenticated.
Single bottles of even great wines are suspect. WW

It's valuable only to him. Tell him to open it and drink up.

The 1970 vintage was mediocre and the wines should have been consumed by now, even the rich dessert styles.
