Spent Thursday morning up in Napa. I've never been to Schramsberg so spent time looking for it. Sign is pretty small! No wonder I've missed it before. (especially going up I-29)

2006 Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs, Sparkling wine: Pale Straw, on nose, green apple, some citrus notes, crisp, dry, and nice acidity. Nothing complex but decent

2001 Schramsberg, J. Schram, Sparkling wine: pale straw, baked apple, pears, slightly nutty, very crisp and a nice step up on the complexity scale. Good Balance

2006 Schramsberg Brut Rose Sparkling Wine: 68% Pinot Noir, 32 Chardonnay, nice salmon color (from extended contact with skin), strawberries, raspberries, good density of flavors.

2001 Schramsberg Reserve, Sparkling Wine: Nice tropical nose, pineapple, good fruit, slight ginger, biscuit, more mellow, still very fresh, slightly nutty and good acidity.

2006 J Davies Cabernet Sauvignon: (79% cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Malbec, 6% Petit Verdot). Nose of black and blue berries, slightly off dry, densely perfumey slightly peppery, grippy, nicely structure but a bit discombobulated.

Lovely spot. Great " Breakfast of Champions " juice. WW
