- Thomas - 09-07-2004 Vino De La Tierra De Castilla 2002. My brother-in-law stayed at our apartment a few days while we were at the house upstate. He left the above wine. I am in the city this week on business and so, I opened the wine. Do not buy this wine if you see it, and if you see my brother-in-law, kick him in his big fat a**. - Kcwhippet - 09-08-2004 Not that good, huh? - Drew - 09-08-2004 Probably left it as he didn't like it either. That's what Brother in laws are for... Drew - Innkeeper - 09-08-2004 If that was the same one we had (see Best Buys), I would describe it as unusual rather than bad. Couldn't completely understand the flavors and aromas, but they did not turn us off. It was a cheapee. - Thomas - 09-08-2004 IK, it's the same wine. This illustrates what I love about the subjectivity of taste. The only descriptor you posted that I get from the wine is the vanilla, which is the oak. Everything else is muted. And if this wine includes garnacha, well, I would never have guessed that--in fact, I did not guess it. - winoweenie - 09-08-2004 Another reason I love the fact my Bro-I-L only drinks Miller Lite. This would probably be his wine of cherce. WW |
