One of D's gifts at Christmas. Deep ruby, complex nose of ripe red fruit and spices, more of same on the palate, also showing wood, white chocolate and cedar. Nice finish, 13% alc/vol. Spotted at Costco for $10.99. With tacos of eggs and venison/pork sausage. Very nice.

What else do you put in those tacos?

It's all in the sausage, made by a friend.... just delivered four more logs yesterday. Lots of garlic, onion, black pepper, liquid smoke, bunch of spices, Bambi's mom, Porky (mostly Bambi's mom), oven-baked slowly at 170 deg for 8 hrs. (Would smoke it over wood but for the need to keep temp steady for that duration.) For tacos, crumble sausage in frying pan with a little EVOO, brown, then add eggs and scramble. Top with shredded sharp cheddar and allow to melt, serve in rolled-up flour tortilla and add salsa to taste (we use Ana's Mild Salsa, from Ana's Unlimited in Austin). Would normally add chopped jalapeno but we're fresh out.

Dang, I hate to start the day by droolin' on the keyboard....

Sounds great... I'm going to give it a shot. First, I'll find the sausage. It might not have that personal touch, but I'll get the idea. Thanks for the Idea!

I have the full sausage recipe.... if you wish, I'll post it.

Well, it's a very poor copy. Will need to contact him and have a better one made. Can't make out some ingredients or quantities.
