I bought this wine because of the producer. Met him last summer. Young guy (23 or 24 yrs old) who told me a story of his first showing when he was too young to be admitted in the venue (then only 19). Anyway this guy brings in great stuff. The company is called Ole imports out of New York.

On to the note:

The nose is consumed with red fruit, but mostly cherries. Red cherries, candied cherries, etc. The palate is mostly the same with a touch of sweetness added. Also maybe a hint of cola. The finish sticks with you for a while. This wine is definately one dimentional but I can't help but enjoy it. The palate is almost too fun, if that's possible.

This wine cost $8 and usually I won't even go this low for fear of what I might find. The grapes: 50% Monestrel, 20% syrah, 20% Tempranillo, and 10% merlot. Very pleasantly surprised. The alc% 14.5.

For $8, this is one of the best wines out there.

Edit: I typed "producer", he's the importer, not producer; Sorry, don't know what I was thinking. Maybe too much wine.

A fine wine for the money. Have been keeping a few bottles on hand.
