Kelsey Wilburn:- Though the winery suggested that I leave this Cabernet Sauvignon in the cellar for 6-8 years, I found that it was totally drinkable when I wanted to drink it - which was immediately after purchase. Like most Cabernets, this meant that the finish was rather tannic, but the full-bodied smoothness of the opening fruity notes balanced that out. Tasting notes: cherry, with a smooth and unmistakable oaky flavor. Finish: structured tannins and a long rich oaky flavor to remember the glass by. This wine had enough body and enough spicy, oaky flavor to compliment rich meals, but the balance of the wine and the smoothness of the finish lent it well to drinking without a food pairing a well.
Victor Soares:- Upon first taste found it a bit tight but after a good 10 minutes it loosened up nicely. Could use a few more years in the cellar, like most cabs but, I'd give it higher rating that Wine Enthusiast did because we're able to enjoy it now. Was a crowd pleasure with some bone in ribeye steaks, grilled asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. I give it 89 points for those looking for nice cab ready to drink now.
