2002 Shotfire Ridge Barossa Valley Shiraz. Look at my post on the Shotfire Ridge in the Cab Thread, substitute Shiraz wherever I used Cab and duplicate the thread. A kick-patootie syrah that is a fruit-bomb with spice and brambles with chocolate and plums that will be even better in 6-9. These 2 Thorne-Clarke bottlings at the 13 buck per price point make it kinda silly to pay the extra bucks. My first encounter with this outstanding producer but sure as the blazes not my last.92/94...13 by the box

Couldn't agree more, have had Thorne-Clark wines,(Shotfire Ridge, Milton Park, Terra Barossa and Shearwater) many times and all great QPR's...we're loaded with em in these here parts. Haven't had the '02's yet which is another great Aussie Vintage.

any of you guys tried the shotfire barossa cuvee, a bordeaux blend of cab, merlot & petit verdot? using winesearcher all i can find are the shiraz and the blend, no cab. and the cheapest it's going for is $18 per bottle (not including shipping). many places are selling for $25-plus. any ideas as to what i can do, since this isn't available in florida? what price is too much for this wine? how does the shiraz compare to sparky & sarah's MP '01 bottling (not the '02)? i know, a lot of questions. sorry.
