I'd love to get your input here cause 4 appetizer stations with the following appetizers: tuna, shrimp cocktails, spanikopia, and cheese (Wedges Brie with Chambord, Glazed Figs & Black Pepper-Balsamic Strawberries, Maytag Blue Cheese with Crystallized Honey Comb Manchego with Turkish Apricots & Smoked Almonds, lastly served with Bruschetta & Lavosh Crackers

Congratulations! Are you asking for input on the wines to go with the appetizers? If so, an unoaked Sauvignon Blanc would pair nicely with several of the selections--the blue cheese, the shrimp, the spinach in the spanikopita (love those) or maybe an off-dry Riesling to go with the Turkish apricots and honeycomb Manchego (cheese with honey? or just appearance of a honeycomb?) Perhaps a St. Supery or Honig Sauvignon Blanc from California or a Nobilo from New Zealand or one from Sancerre, France. For a Riesling maybe a Piesporter Spatlese. For a red wine, maybe a Cote du Rhones or Beaujolais Villages would be vertsatile enough and good late summer fare.

Think I'd do the Honig.

PW, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I agree with the SB and Riesling Recommendatons for the masses. If you got a few wineophites, perhaps a Collio Oriental?, a nice minerally one and the classic Sauternes and Blue cheese mix to go.

Thanks for the well wishes, and as always, I appreciate the wine advice... Off to go as I wed myself. Thank goodness she comes from a wine family. My fiancee's dad has a nice collection of Bordeaux going back to the early 80's which is nice, but what we all enjoy the most is an old vintage port which will pair well with dessert and cigar oblivion post wedding dinner activities. Will report back.
