After the oxidized 2001 Weingart Mittelrhein Bopparder Hamm Feuerlay Riesling Kabinett, I was looking for a cheapy wine tonight to go with a takeout Greek Salad. $7.99 and this does the trick well. Still very fresh and lean. Nothing extravagant in the nose, more grean apple, citrus lime side, clean and pure, nice dose of minerality, crisp, cold and perfect for lunch. $7.99 does not go far nowadays but this wine fit the bit nicely.

Some Winoweenie typing there. I assume it was a Ockfener wine (Scharzberg maybe?) Ockfen is the town. Do you remember the name of the producer?

hahahaha! I even laughed when I reread the post..... You are right on both accounts. though the script on the bottle is tough reading too, especially after having a few.

I resent being compared to some SW that is being described by a man that is definately in need of glasses and devoid of a leather-tongue. WW(hehehe)

That's a visual I'm not really comfortable with.

We still don't know the name of the producer.
