"White Chicken" is the Sauvignon Blanc from this Yountville, Napa Valley vintner.
Without oak. Screwcap. 13.5% alcohol
Pale straw color with transparency. Rounded lemon custard note. Clean, fresh and polished. Nice juice.

The name gave me an immediate "taste memory" of pouched chicken..... ummm....not sure if I'd want to name my wine after that...then again it is only me.

The name goes along with their Black Chicken Zinfandel. I've told the story before of how they continued to make wine during Prohibition days, and sold chickens and eggs to make a living. Those in the know could purchase wine by telephoning the family and putting in an order for a "black chicken."
