- valdez - 12-17-2001 I have acquired a 1937 Souza Tawny Port. The label and cork are in good condition. Assuming this bottle was stored properly, what is the quality and value of this vintage - winoweenie - 12-17-2001 Hi Valdez and welcome to the board. The producer is either out of biz or was not a major player. Tawny Ports are as good as they're gonna' be at bottling. ( 10-20-30 years) They don't improve after bottling and go downhill after that. The bottle has no real monetary value. Suggest you get a few of your nearest and dearest and open that hummer and pray for a small miracle. WW - Innkeeper - 12-17-2001 You might whack the neck off with a sabre to impress them. |
