20% alcohol by volume
Some viscosity.
Purple-red color.
Prune scents permeated the nose and like flavors came across on the mid-palate. The Port finished with plummy flavors. It tasted smooth for the high alcohol content. A pleasant drink to swish around and coat the palate. Rich fruit showed a hint of maturity (no vintage on the label--probably from blended vintages). One sip invited another. Believe me, it's lip-smacking good. This might pair well with roast duck in fruit sauce (blackberry or plum sauce) or some cheeses. Also delightful as an after-dinner sipper with or without a fireplace. I had it the first evening with baked chicken in a portobello mushroom sauce.

Goes well with a Partagas as well....
