for the 2003.

Light golden in color. A nice thick late harvest, with nose of raisins and tea. On the palate, a hint of orange zest and honey with the raisins and tea, but a strong biting acidity (almost too strong and as such a bit out of balance) that cleans up the palate. Long finish and long persistence.

Usually it is just the opposite with these New World wines -- no acidity and very cloying.

The acidity was so strong on this one, it hurt my teeth....I suspect that it been added as the wines is super thick and very sweet (beyond a late harvest) that it would be unnatural for a wine to have this much sweetness and yet that over top top acidity.
