House of Nobilo 2000 Founders Reserve Noble Reisling: (375ml) This was the first dessert wine I've brought and it was worth every penny of the NZ$25 price tag. Actually, I knew I was going to buy it the moment I tasted it. Smooth, sweet but not cloying, and just delicious. Tastes like melted apricot jam to my (Fairly untrained) palate. The father-in-law thought it would age well over three years. Both the mother-in-law and I gave our bottles 12 hours to mature. (And I'm now hanging out for the chance to pick up a replacement bottle. A half-bottle of this one is 375mls too little.)

Skeeters tasting Notes say: "Yes! Buy it!"

Yum. (We make similar tasting notes...)That sounds like my kind of thing. I wonder if it's available around here.

Nobilo is one of the bigger companies here, so I'm sure they export. Alternativly, there's a good selection of stickies at www.finewineonline.co.nz (Not including the Founders Reserve, sadly... but there is the Saints Noble Semillon I've heard is pretty darn good.)

I particularly like Selaks ice wines.

We have Nobilo wines here in Maryland so you'll probably find them in Joisey. BTW, Nobilo is owned by Frank Nobilo, the Euro Tour golf professional, and his brother.
