Help. Am interested in beginning a port wine cellar and need help in getting started. Just vacationed in Portugal and became very interested in port. Without spending a small fortune where should I begin. For instance is $83 good for a '97 Taylor?

Hi ttom23 and welcomne to the board. Seems like that is a very competitive price for this outstanding bottle. Selling for 100-110 out here in the west. WW

Also, since you won't be able to drink your vintage port for several years (assuming proper storage) you will want to pick up a bunch of Late Bottle vintage ports which are cheaper and ready for immediate consumption. Also, don't overlook the portugese table wines. They are using the port grapes to make some fabulous and inexenspensive table wines.
