Definately worth the few extras' over the Cline and Bogle. Amador old vines and super winemaking lets the tasty fruits, spices and depth of flavors shine in this hummer. Haven't had this bottling before but intend to put this on the "must-but" list. 89/90.13 by the box. 14.5% alc. WW

WW- their amador cty bottling is quite tasty also, I find I also like that better than the Cline. Not to fond of the Cline lately.
Earthquake and St. Amant, both from Lodi, are making some good Zins also.

WW: i've been meaning to post on this wine. darn tasty stuff. unfortunately, my regular wine shop does not carry. supertarget has it, and typically has fairly reasonable prices, but charges $17.99 per for it. this wine is a great buy at $13, but for me the competition definitely gets tougher at $18/
californiagirl: at a tasting last sunday, i was introduced to the '02 earthquake zin. holy cow! a HUGE mouthful of fruit and spice, from lodi old vines. i bought me some at $22.99 per. highly recommended!

newsguy- the first time I tasted it was at the Zinfandel Grille in Rocklin, Ca. I ordered a flight of Zin from Lodi- Earthquake, Michael David and 7 Deadly Zins. I was not impressed with the 7 Deadly considering all the press I had read on it. Michael David was good, just not as bold and vibrant as the earthquake. I really enjoyed it!

Aquired several and popped one last night but wasn't impressed. Very tannic start to finish and tasted diluted...bottle variation?

What's the old saw 'bout great thingys' think smialer??? Also opened another bottle last nite. You musta' got the shipment of 2nds frum the factory Drewski. This bottling was lovely. WW
