This is one of the most delightful and unique zins that I have tasted.Nose is black cherry and entry is jammy plum.It is the midpalete that I found so unique. I would discribe it as warming silky vanilla spice. The finish is long, needs to soften a bit.$24. per bottle.Have 5 more .will open another in 8 to 9 months.I would recommend this to all the zin lovers out there.
Just a side note!My most memorable and fun time in Napa was with Mr. Craig at the new winery on the top of howell mountain. He was an awesome host and I might add quite the wine drinker! My wife and I were celebrating our 27th anniversary and one other friends was celebrating her birthday. As we were leaving Mr Craig gave us a 93 and a 96 Howell mountain to enjoy with our dinner that night. WW you did a great job of setting up tastings and this one was THE BEST.

Must agree on all counts on Robert. He is not only a gifted winemaker but a very sweet individual. His graciousness was genuine. Probably opened 700 bucks plus of wine for our party of 7. About the Zin, think I posted on the 97 version of this puppy. Lovely stuff. Will look for the 01. WW
