I am looking for a wine to serve with pasta with a Dijon cream sauce. I realize that often a white wine would be suggested but I much prefer red and was hoping someone could suggest an appropriate wine. Thanks.

If you must try red, make sure there is a little spice to the sauce--just a little--and then go for a Barbera d' Asti (Italy) or perhaps a Rose Zinfandel from California.
