I think this is the Old Vines from Occidental Vineyard. I had a 1.5 oz. pour ($3.25) with a small serving of Pecorino di Pienza Gran Reserva (sheep cheese from Italy). Darker in color than the Rosso di Montalcino that preceded it. (Crimson edging toward purple). Quite aromatic. Smooth drinking. Blackberries, brambleberries. Actually I prefered it without the cheese as they did not quite match up. My new friends Todd and Arlette were also enjoying this wine with their dinner while I sampled a small pour at the bar. I had already purchased two bottles of this for $16.99 a bottle (it's offered at $13.99 by the case) and I may go back for more bottles. Borders on tasting sweet because of the rich fruit.

Caught me, WW. Vintage should be 1999, not 199.
