- winoweenie - 06-17-2004 Pretty impressive stuff on the P/Q scale. Plenty of berries, spices and a lite dose of wood. The only thing that kept this from scoring higher was the slightly hot finish due to the 15% alc. Lots of bang fer the buck. 86/90. 13 by the box. Back label says both French and American oak were used, and that's very evident. Heat was at 15.5%. A nice enough wine to accompany an omelet with fresh 'shrooms & 'maters, but heavy-handed on the wood and alkie IMHO. - winoweenie - 06-17-2004 Starting this week-end WOW. WW |
