Forgot to post on this before. One of the bottles we culled out of the dark recesses of the cellar and opened up on the July 4th weekend. One of the best efforts from J. P. Pawlowski. We thought this would be one dead soldier, and it had a ton of sediment but were we surprised. This was a beauty! It had a bit of the raisiny, pruney character you'd expect from a LH Zin this old, but that only added to the character. Wonderfully rich, almost portlike wine that still had some Zin fruits evident. Harvested at 32 brix and fermented to 3.8% RS. I'm pretty sure we paid about $9.99 for this one. Using ww's scale, this is about as close to a 5 lapper as I've ever had.

KC guess yu've now found the beautiful, mystical, and bountiful scale that makes wine so kooky.WW
