Just got it (Heritage) for $7.99 at Garnet in NY! And the Dry Creek was going for 11.99!

What's going on? are they trying to make room for the 1998s? I'll take it off their hands.

Cheers,

Could you provide a comparo of the Dry Creek against the Heritage Vines?
Curious as to the difference(s)...

I've had a few of these squirrled away and decided to pop one tonight with grilled swordfish and shrimp with a spicy pepper garlic butter. It don't get too much better! I think this zin will last forever. Still the same great zin with some cocoa flavors comming thru now. The flavors seem more concentrated and the finish is loooong. Still plenty of tannins to carry it along for ? years. What a bottle for around $8 release price...wished I'd bought a bunch of cases, only got a handful of bottles left.

drew, glad to hear your 97s are still rolling. i bought a case soon after release, but it was stuck in the back of a closet for close to a year before i rented a wine locker. i had my last bottle around six months ago, and the fruit was fading and it was losing its character, taking on the generic taste i've found some zins get when they're on the downslope. but the bottle i had a year before that was absolutely fabulous. yeah, that bottling still is my all-time value wine at $7.99 (btc).

Popped another last night at the beach with friends. Just now showing some softening re. to tannins. Flavors are still pronounced and the wine delicious. Well worth the original $10 average price tag. Still have a few more .

u are one lucky guy. that's probably the last great RZ sonoma heritage vines we'll ever see. methinks the juice that was going into that now going into their dry creek valley bottling (and others).
