Scherrer Vineyards, 14.1% alcohol paid $19.99 for a bottle
Color: purple-red; faded old brick at rim
Viscous; starts smooth with puckery tannins on the finish; long finish
Rich blend of brambly fruit and wood influence (not too exaggerated)
Attractive now; holds potential to be even better in a couple years
Good with meat loaf, mashed potatoes and green beans and with Swiss cheese
Would rate as good to very good

I see I was rite on the Pinot Thread. These vines are nearing the big 100 as Fred Scherrer Gramps planted them sucker in 04. I've posted on Freds' wines many time, and YES, those hummers age better than I does. WW
