Hi I need some help here. I am going to a dinner party tonight and my friend emailed me the menu. What kind of wine should I get?
TIA

Menu
the menu will consist of miso soup with scallion, salmon fillet poached in coconut milk spiced with red chili and flavored with crused pistachio nuts, fragrant basmanti rice colored with yellow curry, and a ceaser salad with a dressing made with fresh pressed garlic, ground black pepper, egg yolk, lemon and anchovy paste

Welcome to the board Claudette.
A couple choices would be a Gewurztraminer from Alsace (such as Trimbach which is quite widely carried) or a German Riesling at the Kabinett or Spatlese level. Both of these go quite well with lots of Asian dishes and the Riesling might calm the spiciness of the red chili and curry. If you look back in the thread for Wine/Food Affinities there are some other recent replies about what goes with hot sauce under "With a kick." You might get further ideas there.
