78% Zinfandel, 13% Carignan and 9% Petite Sirah.
This was our Thanksgiving Day wine. Opaque black ruby with a wonderful nose of ripe dark cherry, dark currant and dark fruit and exotic spices. Flavors follow nose with the spicy zinberry and raspberry flavors accentuated by hints of dark chocolate and the richness of the Petite Sirah in the blend. Wonderful richness and complexity but not overly heavy on the palate. The finish was very long, 40+ seconds. A truly special zin. 14.7%Alc.vol. $27

Popped another last night with dry rubbed, spicy jerk pork tenderloin, grilled veggies (asparagus and red, yellow, orange and green peppers) and corn on the cob. This is my all time favorite zin. Beautiful richness and purity. The depth of flavors is WOW. Our guests who have not had this zin were speachless after first sip. A wonderful meal with good friends.

Grabbed the last 3 that Coastal Wine and Spirits (just north of Rehobeth) had and popped one last night with Eileen and my sister, who preferred the Los Rochas Garnacha that we popped prior. She stated the zin was "too big for her". No problem as Eileen and I finished her portion. Just a wonderful wine and only have 5 left.
